"A good marriage would be between a blind wife and a deaf husband." - Michel de Montaigne

very day, ladies are
faced with the difficult decision of choosing who’s right for them to marry. Not
only are real men scarce in the marital market, but when you finally manage to scramble one out of the bachelorhood battlefield, how
do you know he’s the ONE for you? A man may be right for marriage but not right
for you.
Same goes for the women folk as well.
So, how do you know he’s
the
ONE? How do you make certain your choice is not misguided?
Don’t
fret, dear one. Here are 10 easy ways to know he’s the ONE. And to put things
in perspective, he doesn’t have to ace all 10. But 7 is a good number. Remember,
no man (or woman) is perfect. You can only get an approximation. Live with
that, and build a happy and prosperous life together.
"Let the wife make the husband glad to come home, and let him make her sorry to see him leave." - Martin Luther
Here are the top 10
things to know he’s the RIGHT ONE for you:
1.
He loves you for who you are and supports your dream. He accepts your flaws and helps you get better,
without condemning you. He is interested in your interests and supports you
morally, physically, emotionally/psychologically, spiritually, socially,
intellectually, financially, intimately, career wise and aesthetically. He’s
your pillar of strength and holds you in high esteem.
2.
He disapproves of your misbehavior but forgives when
you’re repentant. He doesn’t over
pamper you, but tells you to your face when you go wrong; he does it with care
and understanding, and with the intention of wanting you to improve and be
better.
3.
He shares his best times with you and lets you in on
his dream. He always saves the
best for you. He tells you his dream and factors you in it. He’s happiest when
he’s around you and feels he could tell you any and everything.
4.
He longs to meet your family. He’s excited about the prospect of meeting your
family. He’s open to their way of life and wants to be part of your extended
world.
5.
He doesn’t judge your past but rather helps you step
into the future. Even when he
knows your past may not be too descent, he doesn’t judge you anyway, but
accepts the fact you’ve changed and you love him completely. He takes your hand
from behind and walks forward with you into the future with love and respect.
6.
He understands he’s not perfect and therefore needs
to improve. He takes your
observations and complaints about himself seriously and makes positive effort
to get better. He doesn’t try to run away from his responsibilities, but faces
them courageously. He respects your opinion even when he disagrees.
7.
He shares with you how he imagines his kids would
take after you. He fantasizes
about the prospect of his kids taking after your looks and his. He dreams of a
family in both your images. He imagines a likeness of you and is proud of the
possibility of having little “Yous” all over the place!
8.
He plans his future around both of you and doesn’t lie
to you. He includes you in all
his future plans. He doesn’t trick you into believing you’ll share in his
world. He understands the future won’t be about him alone but about the both of
you. He makes sacrifices on your behalf and is proud to do it without regrets.
9.
He’s like a child reborn when he’s around you. You make his joy complete. You’re his breath of fresh
air. You’re his centre circle. He forgets all pride and manly ego and opens up
himself to you. He trusts you as a child trusts his mother.
10. He may want sex
from you, but is willing to wait if that’s what you want. His romantic and sexual feelings toward you are
guided by the respect he has for your person, and he honours your wishes in the
matter.
Most importantly, he
fears God and wants to do right by all men not necessarily because he’s a
saint, but because you make him want to be a better man. He wants to be a King because
he knows you’re a deserving Queen. And when he’s not around you, he cannot wait
to be with you.
When you find a man
like this, KEEP HIM; he’ll come good when it matters. Though he may be
imperfect, but aren’t we all?
Stay blessed. Find
love. Love and let love.
