eave me alone! Let me go!" Nkechi shouted at the top of her voice. Her fear caused her to perspire beyond control; she was almost drenched in her own sweat. She could sense the gloom of the Grim Reaper about to snatch the life away from her. "Please, go away! Leave me alone, Bode, please!"

          But Bode was resolute. I must have my way, he thought. It's about time.

Without wasting time he had begun to rip her clothes off her body. He was savage about it. There was to be no mercy. His sharp claws cut deep into her supple skin in the process of laying her body bare and naked for his schemes and lascivious desires.

ell, not every day does the Devil take centre stage as the topic of discourse. Though we curse and rebuke him on per-second basis, but how well have we come to understand how he operates in entangling us in a fatal web of no spiritual return? We say we love God and will keep his will, but do we not know that by keeping certain actions and habits we open up ourselves to evil machinations, and make it impossible to completely serve God?
